Hotelier Bhasker Shetty murder case : Accused wife, son produced before court

Udupi, Aug 8,2016 : Rajeshwari Shetty, the wife of  the murdered NRI entrepreneur and prominent hotelier Bhasker Shetty, and  her son Navaneetha Shetty who are the accused in the sensational murder case, have been produced before the Chief Judicial Magistrate’s Court here on August 8, Monday. Both of them have been remanded to judicial custody till August 12.

Meanwhile,  sources indicate that   priest Niranjan Bhat Asranna who is also an accused in the case and has been at large, has been arrested at Dharwad. However police sources are yet to confirm  his arrest.

It has been gathered that police had interrogated Niranjan Bhat’s car driver who has reportedly divulged that Bhat was in Dharwad.

It is being said that Niranjan Bhat  who wanted to lead a life of luxury  had close relationship with the deceased Bhasker Shetty’s wife and was reportedly  lured by the latter who had gifted him a costly car and a flat to help her in eliminating her husband.
