Hore Kanike procession held ahead of Bondel St Lawrence Church feast

Mangaluru, Aug 01, 2018: A Hore Kanike procession was  taken out from the Mount Carmel School ground, Maryhill upto the premises of St Lawrence Church, Bondel on July 31, Tuesday, ahead of the annual feast of the Church.

 

 

 

Hundreds of faithful  took part in the procession which was flagged off by Mayor Bhasker Moily. Fr Andrew Leo D’Souza, Parish Priest of the church received the Hore Kanike procession.

Earlier inaugurating the procession, the Mayor described the shrine as a centre of devotion for people of all faiths thus exemplifying the spirit of religious harmony.

Fr Clifford Pinto, Principal of St Lawrence School, Fr Leo Veigas, resident Priest of St Lawrence Church, Bondel and others were present.
