Honeytrap: Police arrest six members, including 3 women

Mangaluru, Mar 23, 2018 : City crime Branch(CCB) police  have arrested six persons, including three women, for allegedly honeytrapping a 71-year-old retired government employee with Rs 3 lakh, recently.

 

Preetesh (36) of Bejai, Ravi (35)  of Kalasa in Chikkamagaluru district, Ramesh (35) of Shaktinagara and the three women are identified as the arrested.

Reports said that the accused talked to the Government employee on phone  had a deal to get massage service by women. The man who agreed with the deal, got himself introduced to the woman at her residence in Derebail. Three unidentified men entered the house, they  forcibly  made him to strip , took the photograh posing with the woman. They blackmailed him and demanded three lakh rupees. The man was confused and he immediately transferred Rs 3 lakh to accused Ravi’s account. Later they kept a demand for some more cash else would post the photograph on social media. The man now made up his mind and booked the compalint against them at Kavoor police station. The police have finally succedded in arresting the accused.


Investigations are underway.
