Honey trapping case busted ; duo arrested

Mangaluru, Aug 7,2017 :  Pandeshwar Police have arrested two persons on the charges of cheating foreign nationals by honey  trapping them.

 

The arrest was made following a tip off  from the public who noticed a young woman quarrelling with a man near  a lodge in Kankanady  under the influence  of alcohol. No sooner the two were taken into custody, the woman revealed  about the honey trapping activities. She also told that five men were involved in the gang.

The modus operandi of the gang was to forward nude photographs of the girl and some unknown women to foreigners while the ladies belonging to the gang used to make video calls wearing flimsy dresses. Those lured were asked to  transfer money to a given number and once the gang gets the money the numbers are blocked.

Search is on for three other absconding members of the gang.
