Honest lorry driver returns bag of jewels

Mangaluru, Sept 26, 2018 : A lorry driver Mohammad  Ali  has won appreciation for his exemplary honesty. He has  returned a vanity bag with 15 sovereigns of gold to its rightful owner.

Ali who was at Charmady on Tuesday was walking on the roadside near the post office early morning when  he spotted the bag. On checking he found the gold, mobile phone and cash.  He immediately checked  the phone and contacted some numbers found in it and got in touch with the owners.

He later visited the Dharmasthala Police Station and handed over the bag to the family of Ramachandra of Kundapur.

The family had lost the bag near Charmady Ghat while returning to Kundapur from Tirupathi. The family had also lodged a complaint in this regard.
