Holy Eucharist at Kundapur to celebrate canonization of Blessed Joseph Vaz

Kundapur, Jan 19, 2015: Dr Gerald Isac Lobo, Bishop of Udupi Diocese has said that it was a matter of great honour for all  Christians in this land  that  Blessed Joseph Vaz  who  had served the local churches and contributed immensely to the community, has been canonized by the Pope.

He was speaking at a ceremony held in connection with a Holy Eucharist to commemorate the canonization of Blessed Joseph Vaz.

Describing St Joseph Vaz as a  priest with Godly gifts, the Bishop  said the holiness of St Joseph Vaz was proved when he created three water springs in Mudipu hills with the aid of lightning when he was serving as Parish Priest in Ullal Panir.

Fr Alphonse D’Lima, Parish Priest of Gangolli Church, Fr Anil D’Souza, Parish Priest of Holy Rosary Church Kundapur and several others were present.
