Holiday for schools and colleges on July 30

Mangalore, Jul 29: Kodandaram, the city block education officer, has announced that July 30, Friday will be a rain holiday for the city’s schools and colleges.

The city has recently been witnessing heavy rainfall, which damaged vegetation and property and created artificial floods. A compound wall collapsed on a house, damaging it in the process.

Car Street, Bunder, Kudroli, Jeppinamogaru, Kottara, and other places witnessed artificial flooding, which has seriously affected the lives of the people who reside in these places.

A tree uprooted on the road at Jeppinamogaru and blocked the traffic for a long time.
