Hindu outfits urge govt to withdraw compensation to Kabeer family

Mangalore, Aug 05, 2014:  A protest was staged in front of the DC office in the city on August 4 Monday by Hindu organisations including the district units of the VHP and Bhajrangdal urging the government to withdraw the compensation of Rs 10 lakh which was recently handed over to the family of Kabeer who was killed in the Shringeri shoot-out.

 

 

 

Dinesh Pai Kateel who spoke on the occasion, charged the government of backing cattle smugglers as is evident from the handing over of compensation to Kabeer family. He also accused the Congress government of hurting the sentiments of Hindus.

Jagadish Shenava, District President of VHP also  spoke on the occasion. Several activists of the VHP and Bhajrangdal took part in the protest.
