Mangaluru, July 03, 2019: Protesting against cattle trafficking and illegal cattle slaughter in the district, Hindu outfits including the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Hindu Jagarana Vedike and Bajrangdal staged a demonstration in front of the DC office here on July 3, Wednesday.
VHP leader Jagadish Shenava who addressed the protestors while condemning incidents of cattle trafficking, appreciated the recent move of the City Police Commissioner of warning cattle traders who had cases against them in the past.
Demanding that cattle smuggling must be dealt with an iron hand he said while the Hindu outfits will continue to fight against cattle smuggling they will not take law into their hands. He also appealed that old cows should be sent to goshalas.
Several leaders of Hindu outfits were present.
In Udupi too a similar protest was held in front of the taluk office.
