Hindu Samithi opposes Valentine’s Day, suggests Parents’ Worship Day

Mangaluru, Feb 12 2018:  The Hindu Jana Jagruti Samithi which has opposed the celebration of Valentine’s Day on February 14 has suggested that  Parents’ Worship Day should be celebrated instead on this day in educational institutions.

 

The Samithi has also made a request to the City Police Commissioner T R Suresh and  SP Dr Ravikanthe Gowda in this regard.

The Samithi has further urged the Police department to set up special squads to  initiate action against those behaving in an improper manner on Valentine’s Day.

A delegation of the Samithi has also submitted a memorandum to the police authorities in this regard.

Upendra Acharya, Revathi Mogera, Prabhaker Naik, Madusudan, Leela Nayak and others were in the delegation.
