Mangaluru, Nov 26, 2014: Members of the Akhila Bharatha Hindu Mahasabha rejoiced by bursting crackers and distributing sweets on coming to know that the Police Commissioner of Bengaluru has denied permission for the controversial ‘Kiss of Love’ campaign.
The Mahasabha had earlier planned a hunger strike on November 27 in protest against the campaign.
Speaking to reporters, Lohit Suvarna, Vice President of the Mahasabha has said such events which are against Indian culture would only result in increased crimes.
Dharmendra, District General Secretary expressed his concern over the rising crime rate and charged the government of failure to check the same.
The Mahasabha members even submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner.
