Mangaluru, Dec 21, 2018: Officials of Air India, Indigo and Spice Jet who attended a meeting convened by Union Government’s Joint Secretary Usha Tadhi recently in the presence of Dakshina Kannada MP Nalin Kumar Kateel have assured to start new flight services from Mangaluru International Airport to Bengaluru, New Delhi, Goa and Pune shortly.
The meeting was held in accordance to the assurance given by Union Minister for Civil Aviation Suresh Prabhu during his visit to Mangaluru some time back.
While some new flights would be launched on existing routes, flights are also likely to be launched between Mangaluru-Pune and Mangaluru-Kolkata. Spice Jet has agreed to launch new flights on Mangaluru-Bengaluru and Mangaluru-Mumbai routes, MP Nalin has informed.
