High Court Chief Justice DH Waghela to visit city tomorrow

Mangaluru, Feb 6, 2015 :  Chief Justice of Karnataka High Court DH Waghela will be in the city on  February 7, Saturday to inaugurate a workshop on “Juvenile Justice Act” and “Child Protection” at 10.30 am.

Informing this to the media here, Uma MG, Principal District and Sessions Judge said the day long workshop will be held at Netravathi Auditorium of the Zilla Panchayat under the joint auspices of Karnataka State Legal Services Authority, Bengaluru, Dakshina Kannada District Legal Services Authority, D K District Administration, Juvenile Justice Board, District Child Protection Unit, Mangalore Bar Association, Department of Women and Child Development and Child Welfare Committee, Mangaluru.

Uma informed that Justice Hulvadi G Ramesh will preside over the workshop while Justice AN Venugopal Gowda and Justice Abdul Nazeer will be the chief guests on the occasion. Others who will grace the occasion include AB Ibrahim, Deputy Commissioner,Tulasi Maddineni, ZP CEO, Dr Sharanappa, SP,  Karnataka Bar Council President PP Hegde and Ashok G Nijagnnavar, Secretary of Karnataka State Legal Services Authority.

  A Workshop on Law organised for advocates on February 7, Saturday evening at 5 pm at the District Court premises will also be inaugurated by Justice DH Waghela,  informed Uma.  


Moodbidri Court Complex inaugural : Justice Waghela will also declare open the new Court Complex at Moodbidri on February 8, Sunday.  B Ramanatha Rai, DK District in-charge Minister, Abhayachandra Jain, Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs  and others will  participate in the function.The three storied court complex building  has two court halls.


SP Chengappa, Mangaluru Bar Association President, B Ganesh, senior civil judge were also present at the press meet.
