Hiding vital info from cops is against law : Khader reacts to Vajradehi seer’s remarks

Mangaluru, July 15, 2017: "If anyone  has an explosive  information regarding a case, then they will have to  provide the  same to the police and help in arresting the  accused rather than keeping the matter confidential which s against law,’’ said State Food and Civil Supplies Minister U T Khader.

Khader who spoke to reporters at Circuit House here on July 15, Saturday was referring to the statement made by Gurupur Vajradehi Mutt Seer Sri Rajashekharananda that he had explosive clue regarding the  Sharath Madivala murder case and  that he would divulge the same if the case was handed over to NIA.

On his visit to the hospital to enquire about the health of Sharath two days before the latter’s death, the minister said it was a  gesture of humanity and brotherhood.

 To another question on the delay on the part of the hospital authorities in announcing the death of Sharath, he said  the administration and the  hospital management need to clarify about this.

The Minister said everyone need to co-operate with the police in the investigation into the Ashraf, Sharath murder cases as well as other cases of attacks.

 He said the decision on offering compensation to the families of the deceased would be taken after the Police Department submits its report to the State Government.  Efforts would be made to  provide compensation from the CM Relief Fund towards medical expenses of other injured, the Minister stated.
