Hi-tech prostitution racket busted: Two held

Mangaluru, Jun 22, 2018 : City Crime branch police have arrested two persons on June 22, Friday in connection with hi-tech prostitution racket in an aparment near Kottara cross on Bejai-Kapikad road, here.

 

Jeevan Poojary (27) of Udupi and K P Nagaraj(27) of Chennarayapatna are the accused arrested.

Reports said that the duo contacted the customers through a website-mangalore.locanto.net. They would advertise their mobile number on the website and would negotiate the rate and place over phone, with those who called him. Acting on tip CCB have arrested the duo. They have rescued two girls and handed them over women rehabilitation centre. Two mobile phones, 2 two-wheelers , Rs30,222 in cash a total value of  Rs 1.26 lakh were seized.

Investigations are underway.
