Now, under the leadership of none other than Oscar Fernandis ministers like Vinay Kumar Sorake, Ramanatha Rao and others sweating it out for victory of their official candidates. But, party workers, who are sidelined for long time by these leaders, say that former minister Jayaprakash Hegde and Harikrishna Bantwal is our official candidate!
Nomination by more than four congress leaders in resentment to fielding of MLC Pratapachandra Shetty of Kundapur for third consecutive term has come as a shot in the arm for disgruntled party workers to raise their voice.

Election after the election congress party workers is not only felt ignored by the district leaders but also they fed up with style of function of revenue department offices in the district from Assistant commissioner officer to Village Accountant office. 

Because of the rebellion by Hegde and Bantwal party workers now got some prominence as their vote is very important to win the election. Using this situation to their side party workers in the district has started questioning ministers and leaders head on in election meetings.
