Heavy rains submerge Kumaradhara Bridge ; road traffic hit

Subrahmanya, July 20,2015 : The incessant rain that has been lashing  different parts of the district including Subrahmanya area  since the past few days, has this time too led to the submersion of the Kumaradhara bridge on the Uppinangady-Kadaba-Subrahmanya Road on July 19, Sunday afternoon.

As it was a Sunday thousands of devotees had arrived at Kukke Subrahmanya Temple and most of them had a tough time in returning to their destinations. The heavy rains coupled with dense traffic  hit normal life. Most of the devotees later proceeded  towards Mangaluru via Gundya route.

 Road traffic between Subrahmanya-Kadaba and Uppinangady has also come to a halt. Even the Hosamutt bridge is  likely to be submerged if rain continues  in the next few days.
