Heavy rains predicted ; orange alert in coast

Mangaluru, June 02, 2020:  The depression in Arabian Sea is expected to  turn into a cyclone on   June 2 Tuesday  bringing heavy to very heavy rains in coastal districts.  An  orange alert has also been announced in the coastal districts.

 

The Weather Department has predicted 115.6 mm to 204 mm of rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning. Fishing activities are also banned in the coast.

Meanwhile, the NDRF team is expected  to arrive in the district on June 4.
