Heavy rain in Dakshina Kannada, holiday for schools and PU colleges on Oct 26: DK DC

Mangaluru, Oct 25, 2019  Deputy Commissioner Sindhu B. Roopesh has declared a holiday for schools and PU colleges on Saturady,  due to heavy rains to be continued for next 24 hours.

 

As the Meteorology department has issued a red alert in the region as a precautionary measure, the Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner has declared a holiday for schools and colleges.

With the sea has turning rough, fisheries department officials have asked all fishermen to return to the harbours and asked them not to venture into the sea till the sea calms down.
