Heavy Rains Continue in Dakshina Kannada

Several parts of Dakshina Kannada witnessed heavy rainfall even on Friday. Although certain regions were unaffected by the rains, roads in the interior regions of Dakshina Kannada were completely submerged with rain water. 

Kadaba was inaccessible for nearly 3 hours when the swelling river completed submerged the Hosa Matha bridge. Near Andije in Belthangady, an irrigation canal overflowed onto the Naravi-Venoor road. 

According to Uppinangady police, the rivers Kumaradhara and Netravathi were overflowing. In Kukke Subrahmanya, the Dharmasthala-Gundia road was completely flooded over by River Kumaradhara. 

Moodubidri, Nellikaru, Dharegudde, Shirthady, Mantradi, and Beluvai regions experienced heavy rainfall.
