Health Minister Khader has plans for a pharma park in DK

Mangaluru, Dec 25, 2015:  If everything goes as per the plans of State Minister for Health and Family Welfare UT Khader, then a Pharma Park may be a reality in the district soon.

KhaderAddressing a meeting in the city, Khader  spoke about the  project and  said it needed a minimum 100 acres of land for pharma companies to set up their units. He directed the district administration to identify land for the purpose and then put forth a proposal for the Pharma Park.

During the meeting, he   also suggested that land can be identified for the purpose  at the Kanara Industrial Area at Mudipu where 170 acre land is available.

Pointing out that pharma parks are environment friendly, the Minister stated that they also provide job opportunities to nearly 200 people. The KIADB need to take up the infrastructural development for the project, he informed

 A.B. Ibrahim, Deputy Commissioner, Rammohan Pai Maroor, President of Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industry,  Dase Gowda, Special Land Acquisition  Officer of KIADB and others were  present in the meeting.
