Harikrishna Bantwal lashes out at Rai, accuses him of abusing Poojary

Mangaluru, June 28,2017: District in-charge Minister B Ramanatha Rai is  resorting to  politics for the sake of power and money  and has no  guts to criticise  BJP leaders including State BJP chief Yeddyurappa, said  former Congressman Harikrishna Bantwal.

Speaking to reporters here on June 28, Wednesday, he   accused Rai of hurling abuses  at senior party leader Janardhana Poojary and other  Youth Congress leaders including Tejaswini Raj and Arun Coelho at a wedding ceremony at Suratkal on February 6 this year and demanded that Ramanatha Rai must be sacked from the cabinet as well as the party.

Harikrishna Bantwal also alleged that even after the February 6 incident Rai had threatened the youth leaders for their proximity towards  Poojary. Even Kallige Taranath Shetty was targeted by Rai for the same reason, he said.

Harikrishna Bantwal also hurled a serious allegation against Rai by stating that he does not want communal harmony in the district.

Defending Janardhana Poojary for his criticism against party leaders, he said  Poojary had criticised Siddaramaiah  in the better interests of the party.
