HC to be moved in suspect’s bail, varsity camera case

Mangaluru, Sep 19, 2016: Speaking to media at his office on Sept 18, Sunday, City Police Commissioner M Chandra Sekhar said that case was registered against the culprit as per legal procedures.


chandrashekar commissioner The Commissionerate will discuss with those who have made the allegation that a minor case was registered, owing to pressure from influential people.


  A writ petition will be submitted to the High Court requesting the cancellation of the bail granted to the Mangalore University student Santosh, who had concealed a mobile phone to capture videos in the ladies toilet in the University.

If the allegation is true, action will be initiated on the influential people as well, Chandra Sekhar said.

He, meanwhile, said that although notices have been sent to Facebook to cooperate towards finding the wrongdoers who have posted defamatory content on the Kateel temple deity, the organisation has not responded to the same. Therefore, it has been decided to initiate legal action against the company, the police commissioner said.
