HC dismisses FIR against Nalin, Kalladka Prabhaker Bhat

Bengaluru, Nov 21, 2018: The FIR lodged by Bantwal police  against Dakshina Kannada MP Nalin Kumar Kateel and RSS leader Kalladka Prabhaker  Bhat in connection with the  protest held in the aftermath of the  Sharath Madiwala murder case,  has been quashed by the High Court.

 

The advocate for Nalin Kumar and 13 others argued that the police have no right to file a suo moto case and that only those who imposed the prohibitory orders could do so. The court upheld the same.
