Gurji Deepotsava held with grandeur at Carstreet

Mangaluru, Nov 8, 2014: Gurji Deepotsava on behalf of the Shree Venkataramana Temple at Carstreet  here  was held with grandeur on November 7, Friday on the auspicious day of Karthika Hunnime.

The rituals were held  under the priesthood of Harish Bhat and Vittal Bhat in the Gurji in front of the temple after the Utsava Murthi along with the idol of Shree Kudteri Mahamaya Devi travelled on the five main streets in the area.

 The vegetables and fruits used to decorate the Gurji were later auctioned. A fireworks show was the special attraction of the occasion.

Shree Venkatramana Temple Trustees Adige Balakrishna Shenoy, Padmanabha Pai, Jayaraj Pai,  Shree Kudteri Mahamaya Temple Trustees Sudarshan Mallya, Govind Pai and others were present.
