Group of 8 get washed away in Sasihitlu beach; Two drowned

Mangaluru, Jan 10, 2021: An evening outing for group of 8 in Sasihitlu beach went wrong on Sunday. Two persons drowned in the incident after a group of 8 people ventured into the sea on Sunday evening.

The body of Sunder (45) is fished out of the sea, while search is on to trace the one more person idetified as Damodar (55).

Six of them were rescued by local fisherman have been admitted to hospital. The condition of the rescued is said to be critical.

Sources said that though the local fishermen warned them against going into the sea, the group ignored the warning and descended into the water.
