Group clash in Sullia; case registered against three persons

Sullia: July 21, 2015: A case has been registered at Sullia police station against the members of two groups on charge of assault on July 21.

 

It is learnt that Riyaz, who is a coconut vendor from Macchila had married a woman from Panja. As the relation of the both didn’t last long, Riyaz divorced his wife. Both Riyaz and the woman got engaged to others.

On Tuesday, July 20, Family of both got together at Mucchia Tanjal’s place for compromise. Before the family members of Riyaz could say any word, the girl’s family members allegedly assaulted Riyaz which led to fight between two families and both the family members fought with each other using chairs and other stuffs.

The family members of Riyaz were injured including a lad. They were taken to a nearby hospital.

A complaint has been registered against Irshad, Ismail and Haneef.  The police are now investigating the case.
