Grievance redressal meets at LPG distribution centres from Feb 23

Mangaluru, Feb 18, 2015:  Sharana Basappa, Deputy Director of the Department of Food and Civil Supplies has informed that  consumer grievance redressal meetings would be  held at various LPG distribution centres in the district from February 23 to March 31.

Addressing a meeting held at the DC office under the presidentship of the Deputy Commissioner AB Ibrahim on February 18, Wednesday he said the meets are being organised as per the orders of the DK district Administration.

On the ration cards issue, the officer informed that as of now 17,232 applicants are to receive the ration cards out of the total 77,670 applicants. Of the remaining  applications, 11,256 are kept pending as the applicants have not submitted the required documents. He said the remaining 5976 ration cards are ready and added that  the applicants can collect the same within the next 15 days. He also stated that the ration cards will be cancelled if they are not collected within the stipulated time.

On LPG connection to BPL families, the officer stated that 6100 families can avail of the facility under the CSE scheme.
