Grief-stricken Kandlur family struggles to come to terms with loss of kid

Kundapur, April 27, 2015:  A deadly silence  pervades  that house at Kandlur village. The family is completely shattered after losing  a  one and a half year  old baby boy in a tragic incident reported on the evening of April 22.

 

 

The child had slipped into the well while his mother had recklessly chosen to make him seated on the parapet of a well while feeding him. The deceased boy Sheharaz  who was the joy of that house has now been laid to rest in the graveyard at Kandlur.

Though Sheharaz’s mother Heena who too had jumped into the well in a bid to save her only child, has been rescued, she is now no more than a living corpse after losing her baby.

That fateful night Heena was somehow persuading her child to have food and  had placed him on  the parapet well when suddenly Sheharaz slipped into the deep well.A shocked Heena had immediately jumped into the well.

Neighbours who rushed to the spot  saw the baby’s body floating and  Heena  struggling inside the well. Heena was later rescued and shifted to hospital.

Heena  hailing  from Uppinakote, was given in marriage to Sarfaraz of Kandlur who is working overseas. It is nothing but a cruel irony of fate that death snatched away the baby which was so close by his mother.
