Grenades found at Ilanthila defused in presence of police officials

Uppinangady, Nov 10, 2021: The five grenades found on the pathway of a house belonging to an ex-serviceman named Jayakumar Poojary at Ilanthila last Saturday, was defused  by bomb defusal squad  in a deserted area of Nelyady on November 9, Tuesday.

 

Puttur DySP P Kumar, Circle Inspector Umesh Uppalike and others were present. The grenades were said to be almost 40 years old  and samples of the same have been sent for testing. Once the report is out,  there is a possibility of knowing much about it.
