Green activists tear off banners displayed by axing tree branches

Mangaluru, March 17, 2020:   Environmental activists who were agitated over the  axing of a few tree branches merely because they were an obstacle to a few hoardings near Kadri Park, have  ripped apart a few flex banners on Monday.

 

 

 

 

The branches of three trees near the Kadri Park were cut as they were  an obstacle to the hoardings.   Agitated over this the National Environment Care Federation activists have  torn apart two huge flex banners and also another flex banner nearby.

"As many as six flex banners have been torn.  The portrait of MP Nalin Kumar Kateel has been pointed  back and Jai Netravathi was written on the banner by activists.  Similar banners in other places too  would meet the same fate," said Federation Convenor Shashidhar Shetty.
