Grand I-Day celebrations in Udupi

Udupi, Aug 15, 2014:  Udupi District in-charge Minister and State Minister for Urban Development, Vinay Kumar Sorake has said that a program called “Prachya Prajne” will be implemented in order to create awareness among high school students about our heritage.

 

 

 

He was speaking after hoisting the national flag at the MGM college grounds here on August 15 th Friday to mark the 68th independence day celebrations.

Sorake further said the youth must derive inspiration from noble efforts of our freedom fighters he also spoke about various government schemes including Anna Bhagya implemented by the govt for the benefit of the poor.

Cultural Programmes reflecting the patriotic spirit were presented by students. DC Muddumohan, Kanagavalli, ZP CEO, Savitha Shivanand, ZP president, Rajendra Prasad, SP, Pramod Madhwaraj, MLA, CMC president Yuvaraj and others were present.
