Grand 20th anniversary of AA Mangaluru celebrated on Oct 2

Mangaluru, Aug 03, 2016: A news release stated that Alcoholics Anonymous Intergroup, marked their anniversary on Oct 2, Sunday at Sebastian Hall Bendore, in the forenoon.  More than 1000 members of AA Alcoholics Anonymous along with their families took part in the function. 

It was attended by large number of people not only from Mangaluru and Dakashina Kannada but also from Udupi, Chikmagalur, Shivamogga, Bangalore, Hassan, Davangere, Mysore, Kerala, Goa, Tamilnadu and Andhra Pradesh.


The chief guest of the function IGP Arun Chakravarty,  western range of police, was of all praise for alcoholics anonymous members. He said he is witness to the wonderful life lead by the members after they transform themselves. He exhoted AA to continue the good work for the good of all people in the Country.


The chairman of the function Rohan Colaco lauded the Intergroup on its anniversary. He said he has seen the development of this Intergroup over the years. This Intergroup was instrumental in the start of Intergroups inmalnad and Udupi. He pledged to work for alcoholics anonymous in the years to come. He specially thanked the Goa fellowship for their participation in large numbers in the programs of AA held at Mangalore.

 The annual report and accounts of the Intergroup were read by the office bearers. The new office bearers of the Intergroup took charge. They have planned for an international convention of alcoholics anonymous in Mangalore in January 2018.   The function ended with entertainment and lunch.
