Governor emphasises on uniform education for equality

Bantwal, Jan 6, 2019: Development of society is possible only when children from all sections have access to education, said governor Vajubhai Rudabhai Vala on Saturday.

He was speaking after inaugurating the new building of DKZP Upgraded Government School in Daddalakadu, Bantwal taluk, on Saturday. Emphasizing on providing education to poor as a noble cause, the governor said all children should be given education that will help them find a living.

“Uniform education will ensure equality among children in urban and rural areas. It will also help talented children to reach heights,” he said.

On English medium education in primary schools, Vala said, “We are all from village backgrounds and there is nothing wrong in parents dreaming of their children studying in English medium.”

Lauding the developments in Daddalakadu school, the governor said computer education in rural schools make children part of nation’s development. “In democracy, it is the people who are leaders. The voice of people helps governments to frame policies,” he said.

MP Nalin Kumar Kateel lauded the efforts of members of Karenki Sri Durga Friends Club who played a significant role in the development of the school in Daddalakadu. “Developing a government school through public participation is a model for entire state. It is the beginning of a revolution in education sector that the enrolment in the government school has increased from 30 to 500,” he added.

Opposition leader in the Council Kota Srinivas Poojari, MLA U Rajesh Naik, senior advocate S Rajashekhar Hiliyoor, ZP president Meenakshi Shanthigodu and DC Sasikanth Senthil were present.
