Goods train derailed at Udupi railway station

Udupi, March 09, 2016: A goods train enroute to Mumbai from Mangaluru on the Konkan railway route derailed at Udupi station early morninin the night today, March 09, 2016. Two bogies of the train slipped off the track due to loose loop of the rail line in the northern side of the Udupi station.

 

 

No one was injured in the incident and no major damages reported.  Many trains in Konkan rail route delayed for two hours due the derailment of the goods train. The accident relief train from Mangalore also reached late making the situation worst. It took two to three hours to clear the line.
