Gold worth Rs 16.52 seized at MIA; person from Murdeshwar arrested

Mangaluru, Mar 02, 2021:      Gold weighing 350 grams and valued at Rs 16.52 lakhs was seized  from a passenger   by the Revenue officials at the Mangaluru International Airport on  March 2, Tuesday.

 

 

A person named Mohammad Awan from Murdeshwar has been arrested. He had come by an Air India flight from Dubai and had concealed the  gold in his trolley bag beadings.

The operation was led by Customs Deputy Commissioner  Dr Kapil Gade.
