Gangster Bannanje Raja remanded in judicial custody till Oct. 14

Udupi: September 14, 2015: A court in Udupi on Monday remanded the underworld gangster Bannanje Raja in judicial custody for a month till October 14.

 

Shanthi Bai, Senior Assistant Public Prosecutor, told presspersons here that Raja was produced before the court of the Chief Judicial Magistrate here in connection with two cases - shooting at a jewellery shop in Udupi in August, 2011, and threat and attempt to robbery of a businessman at Kallianpur-Santhekatte near Udupi in September 2013.

The court had remanded Raja in judicial custody in both the cases. He will be lodged at the Hindalga jail in Belagavi.
