Gangrape attempt at Bengre beach; Four arrested

Mangaluru, Nov 27, 2018 : Police have arrested 4 person on November27, Tuesday based on the complaint by a young woman  at the Women’s Police Station in Mangaluru alleging that seven unidentified men attempted to rape her at Bengre beach.

 

Arun alias Arun Ameen(26), Prajwal Suvarna alias Prajwal(25), Aditya Salian alias Adi(25) and Abdul Riaz alias Riaz (35) are identified as the accused arrested.

As per the reports the incident took place last week when the woman had been to the beach with a youth. They first attacked the youth and then tried to outrage her modesty. The accused fled the place when locals gathered on hearing her screams.Three more persons are yet to be arrested.

Investigations are underway.
