Gang attempts to outrage modesty of a woman at Bengre beach; complaint lodged

Mangaluru, Nov 27, 2018: A young woman has lodged a complaint at the Women’s Police Station in Mangaluru alleging that seven unidentified men attempted to rape her at Bengre beach.

The incident is learnt to have taken place last week when the woman had been to the beach with a youth.

It is said that the assailants had attacked the youth and then tried to outrage her modesty. The accused fled the place when locals gathered on hearing her screams.

Sources revealed that six suspects have been taken into custody by the cops for questioning in connection with the case.
