Gang attacks rowdy sheeter at Tannirbavi

Mangaluru, April 18, 2020:   A gang of five  assailants attempted to eliminate a rowdy sheeter Dhiraj Poojary at  Tannirbavi on  April 17, Friday night. He was the prime accused in the Shivaraj murder case.

 

The assailants, two of whom were identified as Naveen and Sunil  attacked  Dhirraj Poojary (28) when he was standing outside his house. On hearing his screams, locals had rushed to the spot forcing the assailants to flee but not before vowing to eliminate Devaraj.

Dhiraj who was injured due to manhandling by the accused has been hospitalised.

It  is suspected to be an act of revenge to the murder of Shivaraj that took place in the same area two years ago. Dhiraj happens to be the main accused in this murder case.

A case has been registered and the investigations are underway.
