Fun turns tragic; Shivamogga boy drowns in Suratkal beach

Mangaluru, Mar 01, 2021:     A 15 year old boy from Shivamogga who had come to the  Guddekopla beach in Suratkal with his family,  drowned after he was washed away by strong waves while making merry on February 28, Sunday.

 

The deceased boy is Mubarak Ayub Khan. Though his father rushed   to  his help and plunged into the water, he too was about to the drowned but was  rescued by a few local fishermen. The body of Mubarak was retrieved in the evening with the help of fire service and coastal security personnel as well as local fishermen.
