Fun trip turns tragic : 4 yr old Bengaluru girl drowns in Someshwar beach

Mangaluru, Dec 24, 2018: A four year old girl from Bengaluru  who had come along with her family to the  Someshwara Beach, died hours after she was rescued by Life Guards.

It is said all the four family members who were playing in the waters were washed away and subsequently rescued by the Life Guards.

However the girl, Maitreyi Ketkar’s condition was serious and she breathed her last at a  private hospital in Derlakatte.

The others rescued are Maitreyi’s parents  Chintamani Ketkar (39), Shradha Ketkar (39) and sister Garki Ketkar(7). It is said even Garki’s  condition is serious.
