Frequent blaze off NH 66 near Kundapur raises suspicion

Kundapur, Dec 21, 2013: At least three to four  trees were destroyed  in a fire  that erupted  in the bushes and shrubs off  National Highway 66 in front  of the college near Sangam on Friday.

As fire continued to rage, locals immediately informed the TMC authorities who in turn summoned the fire service personnel who  extinguished the fire in a swift operation.

This however is not the first time that a blaze was noticed  off  the  highway  here. There have been several fire mishaps in the past one month period and every time the fire service personnel have rushed to the spot to put out the  fire. Though  major causalities are averted due to alert locals, still residents of the area raise several doubts  regarding the exact cause of the fire.
