Free sardines for locals as fish lorry overturns near Kuntikan

Mangalore, Feb 15, 2013:  Residents of Kuntikan  and nearby areas had a gala time   picking up sardines  for free after a fish laden lorry overturned on the road between Kuntikan and KPT junction on the morning of February 15, Friday.

Luckily, the driver Riyaz and cleaner Najeeb suffered only minor injuries. The mishap took place when the track carrying 195 boxes of sardines was on way to  Malpe from Kozhikode in Kerala. It is learnt, the lorry skid as it was raining heavily.
