Mangaluru, Dec 23, 2015  : Puneeth Raj Kottari, Co-Convenor of Bhajrang Dal  deleted a derogatory comment which he had posted on his Facebook wall against social activist Vidya Dinker after  she drew the attention of City Police Commissioner S Murugan  to the matter.

Puneeth RajIt has been gathered that Kottari had  tried to indirectly compare  Vidya Dinker with mythological villains like Shoorpanakha and Pootana and had even threatened her by stating that Bhajrangdal activists would not hesitate to go to any extent.

No sooner she noticed the derogative post, Vidya Dinker wasted no time in taking a screenshot of the same and sending it to the Police Commissioner through Whatsapp stating " “Puneeth Raj Kottari, said to be Co-convenor of Bhajrang Dal in Mangaluru has put up this Facebook post with my photo about an hour ago.

This is in retaliation I gather for submitting a letter to you last night with other concerned members of CFMD. I am also given to understand that some of the comments by others under his post amount to threat of physical violence against me. Kindly look into the matter.”

Within hours of this development,  Kottari’s Facebook post had disappeared.  There is no information as to yet if any action has been initiated against him.

This development comes in the wake of a case registered against Bhajrangdal activists  for forcefully preventing the screening of Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Dilwale’  in theatres in the city.
