Flat at Bannanje burgled ; jewellery worth lakhs stolen

Udupi, Feb 05, 2019: Thieves who broke into a flat at Bannanje have decamped with jewellery worth several lakhs of rupees.

The theft occurred in the residence of Sanoop P M of Kannur in Kerala, a network engineer in Vodafone company. The family  was away in Goa when the theft occurred. The theft came to light on February 3 when the family returned home.

The  thieves had broken open the main door and had  stolen  several gold ornaments worth Rs 4.25 lakhs.

A complaint has been lodged at Udupi Town Police.
