Five held for assault on journalist

Mangaluru, Feb 29, 2016:  As per information Uppinangady police have arrested five persons allegedly involved in the assault against Mohammed Asif, a reporter of Kannada daily Jayakirana, at Saralikatte recently.

The police gave the names of the accused as Mohammed Imran (24), Abdul Aziz (23), Mohammed Sinan (21), Abdul Siddiq (30) and Nawaz (27).

They were taken before the local magistrate who directed the police to produce the accused in court Feb 29. Monday.
