Five deaths, 413 new Covid-19 positive cases in DK on September 14

Mangaluru, September 14, 2020: Dakshina Kannada distirct on Monday reported 413 new cases of COVID-19 and 5 related fatalities, taking the total number of infections to 17,776 and deaths to 447, the health department said. The day also saw 297 patients getting discharged after recovery.

Out of the 413 fresh cases, 169 are from Mangaluru, 65 from Bantwal, 47 from Beltangady, 66 from Puttur, 43 from Sullia and 23 are from outside DK district.

Among them, 135 persons had contracted the disease from primary contacts, 185 persons are suffering from influenza-like illness (ILI), 17 persons are suffering from Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (SARI). The health officials are tracing the contacts of 76 others. At present, there are 4045 active cases in the district.
