Five attacked by miscreants in Guruvayanakere

Belthangady, Sep 04, 2018: Four persons of a family and an autorickshaw driver were injured in an attack by assailants over a previous enmity in Guruvayanakere on Monday night.

The injured are Razak (26),  his two  brothers, father and an autorickshaw driver named Hamza (27) who tried to save the former.

It is said that  Razak and his brother Rafiq who are employed in Bengaluru had arrived home for a function on Monday night. After the function, Razak had been to Guruvayanakere. On his way back from there, he was attacked by the assailants who were waiting for him near the Aramalebetta arch. They had attacked Razak with a machete and even  attacked his father and brothers who rushed to his rescue.

All the injured have been hospitalised. The assailants are absconding.

Belthangady Police are conducting the investigations.
