Fishermen slips to death from anchored boat

Udupi , Oct 17, 2020:    A fishermen lost his life after he slipped and fell into the sea from an achored boat at Babuthota dock yard.

 

The deceased has been identified as John L. He hailed from Kanyakumari. He along with 18 other fishermen  had ventured into fishing from Tamil Nadu several days ago and had anchored their boat at Babuthota  in view of inclement weather. It is said on October 14, John who went to the rear of the  boat  near the hand pump when he fell off the boat  and reportedly drowned. His body was traced  nearby on the night of Thursday.

A case has been registered in Malpe police station.
